BIO-3523 Master excursion in biology - 5 stp

Type of course

Master course for biology students - discipline Freshwater ecology. The course is not available as a singular course.

Course contents

The course includes a field trip, visits to institutions, participations on a Symposium or similar. Each study is responsible for a service for the students. Students must self-financing depending on destination. Excursion: In preparation, the collective work of biotopes to be visited. Group work will be presented orally and in writing. The reports written most be completed during the excursion. Symposium: Students make a presentation to the symposium and a final report.

Objective of the course

The course provides students with master's insight into other ecosystems than they surrounded the common and / or associate contact with foreign research. The course is for master's degree students (marine ecology, freshwater ecology, fisheries biology / technology, aquatic ecophysiology and aquaculture).

Assessment

Group report. Grade: Pass / Fail. There will be a re-sit examination for students that did not pass the previous ordinary examination.
