STE6301 Structural Analysis in Engineering - 5 stp

Course contents

The course will provide an introduction to some important topics in analysis of some key structural elements. The beam equation, advanced stability analysis of beam-columns and Rigid frames.

Application deadline

Applicants from Nordic countries: 1 June for the autumn semester and 1 December for the spring semester. Exchange students and Fulbright students: 1 October for the spring semester and 15 April for the autumn semester.

Admission requirements

A relevant undergraduate bachelor Engineering programme with minimum 30 points mathematics/statistics.

Recommended prerequisites: A course which in content corresponds to Mathematics 3 and Mechanics 1.

Objective of the course

After complete this course the candidate:

can apply knowledge to new areas within the academic field of numerical and analytical calculations, computations, systematic design process, computational methods, engineering design (K3)

4 h. written exam.

Letter grading A - F, where F is fail grade.

There will not be arranged a re-sit exam for this course.
