Course contents
The course will present geological problems in the field to the student, and will focus on the integration and synthesis of various topics concerning hard rock geology; field relations, lithological variations, magmatic, structural and metamorphic evolution. The excursion will be located to areas outside those where the students do their field work for their master theses.
Objective of the course
After completing the field course, students will be able to solve the most important structural and hard rock problems in the field. Basic techniques of structural mapping, recording structures in the field, and taking oriented samples will be understood. They will be able to interpret some fundamental relationships between mineral reactions, structures, and rheology.

English.
Teaching methods
10 hours obligatory colloquium, 12 days field excursion.
Assessment
Field report. Grading scale: Pass/fail. Students who do not pass the examination will have the opportunity to hand in a revised version of the report.
