Course contents

Content Introducing classical techniques within the area "artificial intelligence". Architecture in KBS using these techniques. Implementation of knowledge using symbolic language. "Pattern recognition". Knowledge in organizations and in individuals. KBS for diagnostics, finding errors, design and planning. Use of artificial intelligence in knowledge based language systems. Development of knowledge bases. Application of knowledge bases in knowledge management. Handling of uncertainty. Extraction and modeling of knowledge. Intelligent explanatory mechanisms. Intelligent agents and simple robots. Data mining and discovery of new knowledge in databases and text. Systems for knowledge sharing and reuse.

Application deadline

Applicants from Nordic countries: 1 June for the autumn semester and 1 December for the spring semester. Exchange students and Fulbright students: 1 October for the spring semester and 15 April for the autumn semester.

Admission requirements

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: A relevant undergraduate bachelor Engineering programme with minimum 30 credits mathematic/statistics topics
