MBI-8001 Molecular and Clinical Aspects of Infection, Inflammation and Immunity - 10 stp

Course contents

The course provides insight and knowledge of the research fields of antimicrobial drugs, pharmacoepidemiology, antimicrobial resistance, microbial adaption and evolution, resistance determinants, spread of resistance, microbial determinants for colonisation and infection, biofilm, host determinants for bacterial colonisation, host response, all aspects of innate and adaptive immune response to alloantigens, microbial antigens and autoantigens, and infection epidemiology.

Admission requirements

Applicants should be qualified for admission to PhD-program in infection, inflammation and/or immunology. PhD students at UiT that are not part of the research school "Infection, Inflammation and Immunity¿ and external PhD students will be evaluated by the course committee based upon their documented qualifications. The course includes 35 hours lecture and 15 hours seminar and is scheduled to one 10 days period.

Assessment

Work requirements

Assessment
One Oral presentation of a given scientific publication/subject appointed by the course committee. The Oral presentation is evaluated as passed/not passed.

Continuation
The course is given once each year. There are no means of continuation.
