Course contents

The course is an in-depth study and integration course for students at Masters level in Economics. The course is a preparation for thesis writing. For that reason, the course will give practical advices in terms of writing a thesis as well as facilitate the students to present their own thesis proposals. The intention is that the thesis proposals will be used as a basis for the Master thesis which will be written the following semester

Objective of the course

Students who have successfully completed the course should have achieved the following learning outcomes:

Knowledge and comprehension:

Theoretical concepts and ideas relevant for later work on the master thesis
Empirical applications relevant for later work on the master thesis

Skills:

The course should prepare the student to work independently on the master thesis in economics

Competence:

The student should be able to read, understand and present relevant economic models and results

Assessment

Exam:

Termpaper (100 %). Grading A-F.

Work Requirement:

Presentation of the thesis proposal

There will be no re-sit exam arranged for this course.
