Objectives of the course

The goal is to give knowledge of the theoretical fundament of reliability analyses, and skills to carry out and make use of reliability analyses in real situations. The outcome of the course will be:

  • Ability to apply theoretical concepts and terminology of reliability engineering in analysis of a system
  • Ability to apply basic  techniques and tools in analysis of failure and repair data and also to find the best-fit distribution for data
  • Ability to analyze a technical system and to build a reliability block diagram
  • Ability to analyze system reliability, maintainability and availability
  • Ability to analyze and optimize system reliability
  • Ability to analyze the effect of environmental conditions on the reliability performance of a system
