Objectives of the course

Learning outcomes, skills and attitudes

Knowledge of production units, network structure and various types of load. Understanding of system operation and limitations. Knowledge of generator stability (load angle stability), voltage stability and frequency stability. Knowledge of different criteria for system stability and analysis methods. Stability improvement.

Mandatory tasks

Six of eight assignments (hand-in exercises) have to be approved in order to take the final exam.

Evaluation

3 hours written exam.

Grading scale is from A (highest) to F (lowest), with E as the minimum pass grade.
