ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: A relevant undergraduate bachelor Engineering programme with minimum 30 credits mathematic/statistics topics

  • STE6249-001 Virtual reality/graphics/animation, theoretical part


Course content

Content

Basic visualisation techniques, OpenGL, display hierarchy, camera and lights, collision control, constraints, particles, mirroring textures and more. Shader programming, active objects, virtual environments, virtual control panels and other interface techniques, animation techniques and interactive simulations.

Learning outcomes, skills and attitudes

On completion of the course the successful student is expected to have the following:

Knowledge

Be able to describe in words, the central terminology, definitions, standards, methods and trends within the areas that are included in this course.

Skills

Be able to use the knowledge to develop applications containing computer graphics.

General competence

Some experience and skills within basic visualisation techniques, computer graphics, VR and animations / simulations

Assessment

Project with oral presentation.

Grading scale is from A (highest) to F (lowest), with E as the minimum pass grade.
