More info about the Panelists:

* Professor Else Grete Broderstad, SESAM UiT, coordinates the Indigenous Master’s Programme at the Centre for Sami Studies, UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. Her research areas include Indigenous rights and political participation as well as governance differences and similarities in the Circumpolar North. She is currently leading research projects on resource management and conflicting interests between Indigenous traditional livelihoods and large-scale industries.

* Anna Nordhal Carlsen is a NHH graduate in economics of “Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment”. She is a board member of Rethinking Economics and an activist in Extinction Rebellion, who believes that radical and just climate action is realized through challenging established theory and practice.

* Dr. Emma Arnold (UiO) is an artist and human geographer whose work touches on cultural and urban geography, geohumanities, environmental issues, and the arts. Emma’s present research is concerned with the artistic dimensions of climate activism and connections between art and climate change. She has carried out a visual urban ethnography of climate activism in Oslo, which has included working as a photographer with Extinction Rebellion Norway.

* Dr. Filip Maric is Associate Professor at UiT’s Bachelor in physiotherapy program and coordinator of UiT’s Environmental Humanities Group. His research interests include global and arctic planetary health, EcoHealth, sustainability and sustainable development, critical theory, ethics, posthumanities, environmental philosophy and environmental humanities.

* Dr. Lena Gross is currently conducting research on Nasafjellet and issues of resource extraction, indigenous methodology, land use, knowledge systems, political ecology and environmental anthropology.
