UiT Interdisciplinary Human Rights Research Network - Interest meeting

Does your research involve Human Rights? Are you working with Indigenous Peoples and Minorities? Are you interested in meeting other researchers at UiT working on similar issues?

Welcome to the first meeting of the UiT Interdisciplinary Human Rights Network

At this meeting, UiT researchers working on questions involving Human Rights, in particular for Indigenous Peoples and Minorities, will have an opportunity to find out what those in other disciplines at the University are doing, and where our interests overlap. This will be an informal and introductory meeting, with the aim of determining the focus of future meetings, and potential themes and subgroups.

At the meeting, we will ask all participants to give a brief description of their research interests (2-3 minutes, in Norwegian or English) and we will identify some thematic clusters that emerge. Based on these interests, we will begin plans for follow-up workshops and meetings. The meeting will end with a reception for more relaxed networking and discussions.

Space is limited, so if you are interested and able to attend, please register by Tuesday 27 October at 12:00

The meeting is supported by the Pluralism, Democracy and Justice Research Group (PDJ), the Environmental Philosophy Research Group, and the Department of Social Sciences (ISV).

Please note: this meeting will take place physically, at the Scandic Grand, in sentrum. We will follow the infection control guidelines. In the event that it is not possible to meet in person, the meeting will be postponed until a later date.

We look forward to meeting you on October 28!
