Be safe and never eat mushrooms you are not 100 percent certain. The Norwegian woodlands, forests and mountains are home to edible, inedible and poisonous mushrooms. Some of the most poisonous mushrooms that grow in Norway can easily be confused with the edible wild mushrooms commonly gathered in other countries. The same poisonous mushrooms are found in Northern Norway as in the southern part of the country. Use your local mushroom control or pick together with someone who has good knowledge in the field.
