Situasjonsbildet for koronaviruset er i stadig endring. Universitetsledelsen følger utviklingen og lovpålagte råd fra myndigheter, og aktuelle tiltak og nye råd vil vurderes fortløpende.

UiT har utarbeidet en egen pandemiplan. Du kan lese den her.

Undervisning og eksamen 

Det er pr. i dag ikke aktuelt å legge begrensninger på aktiviteter og reiser for studenter og ansatte ved UiT. Det innebærer blant annet at undervisning og eksamener går som planlagt.  

Universitetsledelsen har forståelse for at studenter og ansatte kan være bekymret for utbredelsen av koronaviruset. Vi oppfordrer alle til å utvise forsiktighet, og følge de lovpålagte rådene som blir gitt fra helsemyndighetene og den enkelte kommune for å forebygge smittespredning.  

Reisevirksomhet 

UiT forholder seg til Utenriksdepartementet (UD) sine reiseråd og råd fra Folkehelseinstituttet (FHI). Dersom du skal på reise, må du sette deg inn i den informasjonen som er tilgjengelig på Folkehelseinstituttets sine nettsider om ulike land og områder, og hvilke forholdsregler som bør tas på reisen og ved hjemkomst.  

Dersom du møter personer som kommer til UiT som nye ansatte, studenter eller gjester, ber vi om at du bidrar til å informere disse om de rådene som gjelder for smittevern i Norge. 

Det er ikke innført innreiseforbud til Norge i forbindelse med koronaviruset, og UiT følger nasjonale retningslinjer og råd fra Folkehelseinstituttet.

Råd og fakta om koronavirus:  

-        Vi oppfordrer alle til å følge rådene som blir gitt på Folkehelseinstituttets og Helsedirektoratet sine nettsider, samt kommunale hjemmesider i din oppholdskommune. Sikresiden.no har også informasjon om koronaviruset.

-        De viktigste rådene for å hindre smitte er å hoste/nyse i et papirtørkle (som kastes etterpå) eller i  albukroken. Vask hendene ofte og grundig med såpe og lunkent vann. I tillegg bør man, når det er mulig, holde minst én meters avstand til personer med luftveissymptomer.

-        Skal du ut å reise vil vi anbefale at du sjekker reiserådene gitt fra Folkehelseinstituttet.

-        All undersøkelse for koronavirussykdom, covid-19, skal foregå på Legevakta. Men dersom du tror du kan ha blitt smittet må du ringe først.

The situation regarding the coronavirus is constantly evolving. The University management follows the development and statutory advice from the authorities, and relevant measures and new advice will be evaluated on an ongoing basis.

UiT has prepared its own pandemic plan (in norwegian only).

Lectures and exams

Per today it is not relevant to place any restrictions on activities and travel for students and staff at UiT. This means, among other things, that lectures and exams will go as planned.

The University management understands the concerns students and staff may be having in regards to the spreading of the coronavirus. We urge everyone to exercise caution and follow the advice given by the health authorities and each municipality to prevent the spread of infection.

Traveling

UiT follows the Ministry of Foregin Affairs travel advice and the advice from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. If you are traveling, you must familiarize yourself with the information available on the Norwegian Institute of Public Health’s websites about different countries and areas, and what precautions should be taken when traveling and returning home.

If you meet people who come to UiT as new employees, students or guests, we ask that you help inform them about the advice that applies regarding infection control in Norway.

No entry ban has been introduced in Norway in connection with the coronavirus, and UiT follows national guidelines and advice from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

Facts and advice regarding the Coronavirus:

- We encourage everyone to follow the advice given on the websites of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (Folkehelseinstituttet) and The Norwegian Directorate of Health (Helsedirektoratet), as well as municipal websites in your municipality of residence. Sikresiden.no also gives advice about the virus.

- The most important advice to prevent infection is to cough/sneeze in a paper towel (which is thrown away afterward) or in the elbow. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and lukewarm water. Also, when possible, keep at least one-meter distance for people with respiratory symptoms.

- If you need to travel, we recommend that you check the travel advice given by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (Folkehelseinstituttet).

- All examination for coronavirus disease, covid-19, will be carried out at the Emergency Clinic. But if you think you may have been infected, call first.
