In this lecture you will be introduced to different tools for making visualisations, get insights into how people understands and reads visual elements– and we’ll look into the dangerous task of interpreting data for interactive illustration purposes.

Her expertise lies within data journalism, interviewing large datasets and presenting them visually. She has most recently, before joining IJ, worked at Teknisk Ukeblad and ABC Startsiden
Ståle de Lange Kofoed is an Associate director at The Norwegian Institute of Journalism.
He is the author of a practical handbook in digital storytelling (2014), and leads workshops and training sessions on storytelling and open source information gathering regularly.
