Forskningsgruppa i etikk ved IFF har gleden av å invitere studenter og ansatte til forelesning med Barry Dainton 23. april kl 10:00–12:00 på SVHUM B1005. Dainton er professor i filosofi ved University of Liverpool. Forelesningen har følgende tema:
A survey of some of the ways that current and anticipated future developments in computer technology and AI are impacting on Philosophy. Among the topics to be looked at: (i) the different types of computer that have been developed so far (ii) implications for our understanding of the natures of intelligence, consciousness and the fundamental character of our universe; (iii) ethical and existential issues; (iv) transhumanist dreams for the future - how realistic are they?
