Guest lecture; Narrative Interviewing. Presenter: Sue Ziebland, Professor of Medical Sociology, Univ. of Oxford.

Narrative methods are much used across the social- and health sciences and in the humanities.

In this lecture Sue Ziebland will share her insights on how narrative interviews with patients can be valuable in research aimed at improving health care. 

The lecture will build on her recent book "Understanding and Using Health Experiences: Improving Patient Care" (Ziebland, Coulter, Calabrese, Locock (edt); Oxford University Press 2013).

Sue Ziebland is Professor of Medical Sociology and the Director of the Health Experiences Research Group (HERG), in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care health Sciences. She is also a senior research fellow at Green Templeton College and in 2013 she was appointed as an NIHR Senior Investigator. Sue has worked as a researcher in the academic, NHS and voluntary sectors and has published over 150 papers and chapters in social science and health publications.
