IT-security concerns everyone - National Cyber Security Awareness Month

Students and employees at UiT The Artic University of Norway are popular targets for hackers, swindlers and other people who are looking to do harm via the Internet. Accounts get hacked and computers get infested with viruses all too frequently after someone clicks on a link in an email.

October is National Cyber Security Awaness Month and UiT The Arctic University of Norway wants to do its part.

Together with the Norwegian Center for Information Security (NorSIS) and UNINETT, the Department of Information Technology (ITA) is offering all students and employees a course in cyber security. The course is comprised of a series of 2-3 minute long modules that you will receive via email on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on 4 October. The emails will contain a clickable link that will take you to the online courses. ITA would normally never ask you to click a link you receive in your email but this is an exception. Make sure that the email is from "Nasjonal sikkerhetsmåned 2016" (course@nanolearning.com). The course is only available in Norwegian.
