Annual seminar 2016, Department of Pharmacy

Department of Pharmacy is delighted to invite you and your colleagues to join the annual seminar on February 4^th, 2016. The seminar will start at 9:00 in TEO H1.1343 (Teorifag hus 1).

The main theme for this year’s seminar is “Bioscience-Writing Strategies for Papers and Proposal”, which will be discussed by Dr. Angelika H. Hofmann.

Angelika H. Hofmann completed her undergraduate (1989) and graduate degrees (1994) at the University of California, Irvine, in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry. Her studies were followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the Max-Planck-Institute of Molecular Genetics in Berlin, Germany. In 2006, she joined the Corporation and Foundation Relations team at Yale’s Office of Development, and was appointed Deputy Director for Science and International Initiatives in 2010. Dr. Hofmann is renowned in the scientific writing field and has been an invited speaker at various institutions worldwide. She is the founder of “Sciwri Services”, a venture that provides editing services and workshops for scholars and scientists at universities around the world.

The seminar will include also the following topics:

• Waste management (for engineering technicians)
• Sharing of personal research experiences
• Plenary lecture on “Skikkethetsvurdering” , Evaluation of “students suitability” by  Jørgen Sundby, coordinator for suitability assessment of students at the University of Tromsø (The lecture will be in Norwegian)
• Teamwork and task flow (for the administration)
