Working with Norwegians (seminar about the Norwegian working culture)

UiT would like to invite our international academic employees to the seminar "Working with Norwegians".

Date: 9 December 2014 (12:00 - 3:30 p.m.)
Location: (to be annouced)
Registration deadline: 28 November 2014 (max. 20 participants)

The Norwegian workplace culture may be very different from the business culture in many other countries and this may cause misunderstandings and frustration.

The seminar "Working with Norwegians" will give you practical insight into how Norwegians think and act – in a business and social setting. During the seminar we will convey the major cultural traits of the Norwegian workplace culture as well as the way things are done in Norway.

The aim of the seminar is to make you more confident about how to behave in Norway and to reduce the risk of cultural misunderstanding. The seminar is open to all international academic employees at UiT - whether you have just arrived at UiT or whether you have been working at UiT for some time.

The seminar will take place on Tuesday 9 December 2014 from 12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Registration deadline: 28 November 2014 (max. 20 participants)

The seminar is held by Karin Ellis (Ellis Culture and Consulting), who has been working in international companies for many years. Today she gives seminars both to international employees in Norway and to Norwegians working with international employees.

For further information about the seminar, please contact Siri A. Sørland (siri.sorland@uit.no).
