Water fleas
 are
very common, both in
freshwater and sea-
water. Most move
through the water by
jumps and bounces,
which hence the name. The most common
water fleas are freshwater genera Daphnia and
Bosmina. In seawater there are two genera:
Evadne and Podon. Characteristically water
fleas have a shell covering their body. The head
is only slightly separated from the rest of the
body. The legs, in five or six pairs, are flattened,
blade-like and serve as respiratory organs. The
movement of the legs causes a flow of water
through the animal and out between the shell
halves. This flow allows them to breathe. It also
brings with it food particles, often phytoplank-
ton, which are filtered by the legs
and taken to the mouth opening.

Hypothermia.
 The
condition in which the
body temperature falls
below 35 degrees Celsius.
Hypothermia can occur
when a person is exposed
to cold over time, or by rapidly
cooling down by falling in the cold water. Early
symptoms of hypothermia are shivering, unco-
ordinated movements of the limbs, irrational
behavior, pale and cold skin. Followed by the
ceasing of the tremors, the patient becomes
quiet, disoriented, withdrawn and responds
slowly when spoken to. Eventually the, hypo-
thermic patient will become unconscious with
ice-cold, bluish skin. Breathing pattern changes
drastically with only two to three breaths per
minute. If the body temperature falls below 30
degrees Celsius, the heart will stop.Source: Red Cross.

Climate.
The difference between weather
and climate is a measure of time. Weather is
what conditions of the atmosphere are over a
short period of time, and climate is how the
atmosphere behaves over relatively long periods
of time. When we talk about climate change,
we talk about changes in long-
term averages of daily weather.Source: NASA.

Migratory birds
are birds that, after
the breeding season, move from northern or
southern latitudes towards the equator. Birds
that are staying at the same place the year-
round are called resident birds.
