2020_Seminar Guest: Geir Tore Holm

At the WONA seminar Geir Tore Holm gave an informal introduction into his practice, his everyday working life at the farm and his forthcoming projects including the exhibition on Nils-Aslak Valkeapää / Áillohaš at Henie Onstad Art Center, Høvikodden (23 October 2020 - 10 January 2021).

Geir Tore Holm (b. Tromsø, 1966), originally from Manndalen, lives and works on the farm Ringstad in Skiptvet, Østfold, Norway. Holm is concerned with the interaction between people and the environment, agriculture and life. In addition to his own work with video, photography, sculpture, performance, sound and site-specific projects, collaboration is an important element in his work. Geir Tore Holm also works as a teacher, writer and curator. His forthcoming curatorial collaboration is an exhibition on Nils-Aslak Valkeapää / Áillohaš (1943-2001) which will include a publication, concerts and discursive events.
