Understanding Communal Orientation in Men

Gender Equality in the 21st Century: Country-level and Individual-level Factors Predicting Intended Share of Parental Leave and Childcare – A Cross-Cultural Study across 49 Countries

This is a subproject of a larger cross-national project that investigates communal orientation in men. The main aim of this subproject is to investigate cross-national variation in women’s and men’s intention to contribute to childcare in the future and to focus on the relationship between structural, cultural, and psychological variables. In order to extend earlier research that has mostly focused on few Western countries in Europe and Northern America, in this project we analyse data from 48 countries and combined this data set with publicly available global indices and cross-cultural data sources.
