NoCoU Norway Community of Users: Civil Security for Society

Image caption

Norwegian actors (public sector, NGOs, academia and industry) are active contributors to several research and innovation activities within European and National Research related to civil security. Due to the nature of European programmes in terms of budget and specific consortia eligibility and admissibility requirements, participation is limited, and competition is huge. The potential to improve participation lies on a collective effort of the Norwegian stakeholders involved in safety, security and resilience across domains and societies (local, regional, national). NoCoU was created to address these needs.

NoCoU will strengthen cooperation by building upon existing cooperations and their local, regional and national networks. Regular hybrid workshop series organised by each regional node, as well as additional local meetups, online open cafés, and rapid news in between the workshops to foster networking and more informal experience exchange. •Workshop series will be planned according to the calendar of CL3 calls to optimise interest and participation. Different thematics will be defined at network level and adapted for the regional contexts and needs.  Interactive facilitation and participatory methods will be used.

Project member responsible for local/regional activities: Tromsø (UiT), Trondheim (NSR), Vestland (HVL), Stavanger (UiS), Oslo (NORSAR).

Project member supporting local activities (NTNU,SINTEF, UiO, NMBU).
