Implementation of non-dispensing pharmacist services in home care

Over recent years, non-dispensing pharmacist services have been introduced into primary care settings to enhance medication safety. However, pharmacist provided interventions are complex and show equivocal effects on clinical outcomes. The overall aim of this project is to investigate factors that influences the integration of pharmacists and pharmacist services (pharmacist program) in a Norwegian home care organization. Looking to implementation theories and frameworks, our goal is to identify determinants of implementation and use them as a baseline to develop tailored implementation strategies.
