This is Ingeborg Solvang's PhD project, investigating the new situation in Tromsø, where kittiwakes have left their natural habitat on the ocean cliffs for the urban landscape of Tromsø. How can this bird-human encounter be understood and used to create knowledge and tools to apply in similar situations-to-come in the nature crisis we are all part of? Which concepts are good to think with and open up for dialogues between different positions and how can we use this situation in order to improve the state of the birds and take care of people at the same time.
