Mitochondrial quality control in heart disease

This project is focussed on the mitochondrial biology in normal cell function and in various disease processes. An extensive part of the methodology used in the projects apply various advanced imaging techniques including super-resolution microscopy, electron microscopy and machine learning techniques. Part of the study employs induced pluripotent stem cells (cardiomyocytes).
