Aortic dissections.Clinical epidemiology and risk assessments


cCVR has since 1998 been part of the International Registry of Acute Aortic Dissections (IRAD). This registry has per now >50 participating institutions world-wide and contains medical data from more than 15 000 patients, both Stanford type A and B dissections. Thus, this database is by far the larges database in the world for acute aortic dissections (clinical symptoms from no more than the 2 last weeks). cCVR har been part of more than 50 publications from the registry.

Tromsø Aorta 2024

In August 2024 (Aug 27-29) we will host an international jointed meeting between IRAD and GenTAC (www.tromsoaorta2024.com). GenTAC is an a alliance focussed on inherited diseases of the aorta and large vessels (www.gentacalliance.com) and spans a large audience from patients to basic researchers.
