Climate change and human rights


The project’s field of research will be climate change and human rights. The project may examine connections between these fields, both substantively and procedurally. Questions that may be raised include the scope of the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment, whether measures to combat climate change may conflict with (other) human rights, and the litigation of climate change claims in national and international courts, especially in a human rights context. The project may draw on perspectives from other disciplines includes social and natural sciences. Sectors for secondments may include the energy sector or NGOs or public sector institutions dealing with human rights and/or environmental issues.
