Metabolic signalling


It has long been known that metabolism is influencing signal transduction and gene regulation, but the underlying mechanisms are still not fully understood. We develop mathematical modelling approaches to unravel nutrient sensing signalling networks. This shall in the future enable the prediction of dietary responses as well as the impact of nutrition on treatments targeting these signal transduction pathways and develop new nutritional strategies to improve health and combat diseases.
