The project has been divided into 4 workpackages that will investigate the impact of nutritional content of the diet on growth performance, digestibility of nutrients, gut health issues, and egg and larval quality. The objectives of the current proposal will be achieved through a series of controlled experiments and novel laboratory analyses, where key elements of diet composition and feed uptake are investigated.

The main objective of the proposed project is to supply the wolffish industry with specific scientific knowledge that will increase production efficiency in the farms, and to establish a research-platform, consisting of all the major research institutes in northern Norway, to support and further develop a sustainable spotted wolffish farming industry. In our opinion, the project constitutes a necessary basis for industrial upscaling and further diversification of the Norwegian aquaculture industry.
