Stillingsbeskrivelse:

In our research group I have responsibility for the acquisition of biological data using quantitative screening methods and conducting qualitative, mechanistic studies by applying different bio-analytical tools.

I investigate potency, toxicity and mode-of-action of antimicrobial/antibiofilm/anticancer compounds developed at the Department of Pharmacy with an interdisciplinary research approach and in collaborations regarding drug synthesis, screening and implementation in cancer cell biology and microbiology.

As pharmacist I see myself as communicator between different scientific fields with the ability to understand strengths and challenges of disciplines like chemistry, medicine or biology. This is important regarding drug optimization processes, where all three fields are tightly interconnected. My knowledge of different drug application/transport/targeting approaches can already in an early stage help to critically assess optimization processes and developmental strategies.
