The Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s internal meetings are closed unless the Commission decides otherwise.
The Commission will hold open meetings for the public to attend. At these meetings, the Commission will provide information about its mandate and work, and it will also be possible to ask the Commission questions. Members of the press are required to make separate appointments.
The Commission’s documents and archive
The Commission’s documents are held in a dedicated archive that is managed by the Commission’s Secretariat. The collected material will be handed over to the National Archives of Norway on conclusion of the Commission’s work.
Images published via the Commission’s information channels may be freely used when discussing the Commission’s work. Appropriate credit must be given for the images.
The Commission’s work is regulated by the mandate and Section 19 of the Storting’s order of business. The relationship between the Commission and the media is regulated by the Press Ethical Guidelines and the Ethical Code of Practice for the Norwegian Press.
