[For English please see below]

Velkommen!

“The Wind’s Innards: Further thoughts on Kujagi & Abraham Ulrikab” is a lecture performance by artist Noah Angell, elaborating through storytelling and analysis the first hand accounts of Kujagi and Ulrikab, who performed in Johan Adrian Jacobsen’s live ethnographic displays in the late nineteenth century.

The performance lecture builds upon “For the good wind”, a sound installation commissioned for the exhibition “Storm and Stillness: the Ethnographic Enterprises of Adrian Jacobsen” (Baglo 2018), currently on display at the Polar Museum.

The lecture will be followed by a brief Q&A with the artist, moderated by Ingeborg Høvik, Associate Professor in Art History at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
