Jupyter and JupyterHub for teaching and research

Richard Darst (Aalto University, Finland) will give a talk and discussion about JupyterHub for teaching and research. The presentation will include benefits - and limitations - of Jupyter and JupyterHub for teaching, including many examples of how it is used at Aalto.

Richard has been involved in planning and setup there, so depending on the results from this meeting, we may begin planning JupyterHub setups here.

If you haven't heard, Jupyter is a system for interactive computing that combines code, output, and documentation together. But most importantly, it is a more accessible method of providing access to computing power. It is especially popular in data science type fields, and is increasingly being used for both teaching and research.
