Russia: One Day before a Revolution?

A guest lecture by Professor Roman Bäcker (Department of Political Theory, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland)

Applying theories of the (in)stability of political regimes (Pareto, Skocpol, James C. Davies) to present-day Russia, Professor Bäcker will attempt to determine what may happen to the country in the near future. Are there any signs of the breakdown of the current rule? Could there be a revolution similar to the events of 1917? Are theories of bifurcation of undemocratic regimes (e.g. attractor, saddle point, equilibrium) relevant to Russia, and if yes, which place is it now at?
