The short-course was given by Greg Corbett, an Australian geologist with over 35 years of field experience on various types of ore deposits worldwide (http://corbettgeology.com/). The course is very popular in the international ore geology community and this time it was offered for the very first time in one of Nordic countries.

In Tromsø, the course was attended by Bachelor, Master and PhD students from UiT The Arctic University of Norway and professionals from Norway, but also a group of 11 Master students from University of Oulu, Finland, found this short-course highly relevant and joined us.

They learnt a lot about gold, copper and silver ore deposits and became familiar with challenges in exploration geology.
