Deadline approaching: 7th National PhD Conference in Medical Imaging, Oslo
The deadline for registering to the 7th National PhD Conference in Medical Imaging, which takes place at Scandic Fornebu in Oslo on 16-17 November 2015, is approaching (7September), and I would like to remind you of the following:
- The conference is an excellent arena for networking and scientific exchange among PhD candidates and others who are working in the field of medical imaging.
- MedIm will cover all costs of members (PhD candidates, research program medical students and post docs) who submit an abstract. Others are welcome to participate at a fee.
- Those who submit an abstract will be invited to present their work though a plenary oral presentation, a poster presentation, or a combined poster- and speed poster presentation. The best presentation in each category will be awarded a 6000 NOK price!
This year’s program also includes lectures by a number of national and international experts, among these Prof. Jürgen Schneider from the University of Oxford and Prof. Matthias van Osch from Leiden University Medical Center. Professor Jørn Hurum will give a “vorspiel” lecture on science communication before the conference dinner, and there will be ample time for mingling with old and new friends and collaborators. Note that MedIm members who participate with an abstract are eligible to apply for a MedIm Travel and Research Grant. These are individual grants of 50.000 NOK, intended to cover travel costs, operational costs or other expenses related to your research training. Application deadline: 1 September
