    Forskningsinteresser

    Sigfrid Kjeldaas er forsker ved prosjektet Arctic Voices in art and literature in the long nineteenth century. Hun er utdannet i økologi og litteratur, og avla i 2017 doktorgraden i litteratur og kultur ved UiT med avhandlinga Nature Writing as Contact Zone. Sigfrid publikasjoner fokuserer på relasjonalitet og estetikk i arktiske naturskildringer og arktisk ekspedisjonslitteratur. Som postdoc på NORCEs prosjekt «Rewrite: New knowledge to navigate the rewriting of human/nature relations through genome editing in the search for sustainable food» gjorde hun diskursanalyser av debatten rundt bruk og regulering av ny genredigeringsteknologi. Sigfrid har også vært aktiv i arbeidet for likestilling ved UiT. Hun ledet universitetes opprykksprosjekt for kvinner i 2016-2018 og koordinerte NFR-prosjektet «Prestisje: kjønnsbalanse i forskningsledelse ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet» fra 2018 til 2019.
