  • Spring semester: 1 October

 Admission requirements:

Only students from the following regions/countries may apply as free-movers:

  • EU
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
  • Russia
  • USA

Students from other countries may apply if they already have a residence permit in Norway for other reasons.

Free-Mover Application

In order for your application to be processed, all relevant qualifications and a verified transcript of records in English must be documented and enclosed with your application.

Only original transcripts/ documents or certified copies are accepted. Please note that due to the need for verification of educational documents, we do not accept faxed or e-mailed applications/documents/transcripts.

 Processing your application:

Your application is sent for processing to the faculty in which you wish to study. The faculties base their decision regarding admission on the applicant's academic performance and his/her complete application.

When you have been accepted as a free-mover to UiT, the International Office sends you an information package including your Letter of Admission and Student Contract. The latter has to be signed and returned to us within a given deadline.
