Grand Meeting 2006 in Solf
The 2006 Grand Meeting for the Network for Scandinavian Dialect Syntax was organized in Solf in Ostrobothnia, Finland, 7-11 June.

38 participants from the network gathered at Solf Gästgivargård for a three day program including a workshop for PhD students and young researchers with altogether nine 30 minute presentations. The meeting was organized by Jan-Ola Östman, Åsa Mickwitz, and Øystein A. Vangsnes, and it is the main activity in 2006 within the NordForsk "Network for Scandinavian Dialect Syntax".

Solf and its surroundings
The Finnish name for Solf is Sulva, and the village lies in the municipality of Korsholm (Mustasaari) which in turn surrounds the city of Vasa (Vaasa). This interactive map shows the location of Solf. Some travel information can be found here
