Grand Meeting 2009 in Älvdalen

The 5th Grand Meeting for the Network for Scandinavian Dialect Syntax was organized in Älvdalen, Sweden, 25-29 August 2009.

43 participants from the network plus invited guests gathered for a three day scientific program at Hotel Älvdalen. In addition to regular presentations of papers on linguistic topics the program included a workshop for MA/PhD students, a session with project reports and organizational issues, a session with papers on Övdalian, and a groupwork session.

Invited speakers were the professors Liliane Haegeman (Ghent), Lars Steensland (Lund), Anders Holmberg (Newcastle), and Halldór Sigurðsson (Lund).

The meeting was organized by Lars-Olof Delsing, Piotr Garbacz, Henrik Rosenkvist, and Øystein A. Vangsnes, and it was the main activity of the NordForsk Network for Scandinavian Dialect Syntax in 2009.
