Main research areas at the University of Tromsø

The University of Tromsø shall be an international institution working for high quality in research and in scientific and artistic development. The university shall contribute to the diversity and depth of Norwegian basic research. In selected areas the university shall be at the frontline of international research.

Research at the University of Tromsø is carried out at Faulties, Centers and units. Of key importance is also the close co-operation with institutions and industry in Tromsø and in North Norway.
