Norwegian language courses

These courses are exclusively for employees and international students at the University of Tromsø.The courses will run for an entire semester. It is possible to attend courses at the same level only once. Most courses will take place in the afternoons and evenings.
We offer courses at Level 1A (Introductory Level, first part), Level 1B (Introductory Level, second part), and Level 2 (Intermediate Level).
Level 1A
This course is for students who have no prior knowledge of Norwegian. The time commitment is 48 hours (4 hours weekly).
Level 1B
This course is for students who have some prior knowledge of Norwegian. The time commitment is 48 hours (4 hours weekly). To enroll in this course you must prove your skills through a placement test (see link below).
Level 2
This course builds on Level 1 and covers the book STEIN PÅ STEIN. The time commitment is 78 hours (6 hours weekly). To enroll in this course you must prove your skills through a placement test (see link below).
