Quota
The HPC services at UiT are available to all universities and research centers in Norway. Access to the supercomputing resources is controlled by a system of quotas. You can apply for national quota by filling out the application form available from NOTUR (left menue). Or you can also apply for a local quota at UiT (also left menue). Only scientiest working at UiT can apply for local quota.
In either case only staff in permanent positions may apply for quotas. Supervisors need to apply on behalf of their MSc- and/or Phd-students (make sure to put the students name on the application form).
Quotas are granted for periods of six months at a time, extending from:
- April 1 - September 30 (applications by March 1)
- October 1 - March 30 (applications by September 1)
When the account is ready for use, you will receive a notification by e-mail, including your username and password.
