Stillingsbeskrivelse

Jeg er professor i pedagogisk psykologi med stor interesse for læring, motivasjon, språk og kultur. Jeg er spesielt interessert i hvordan vi utvikler oss utenfor klasserommet, det være seg alene eller med andre, i ulike situasjoner ute eller på reise, eller i samspill med folk fra andre kulturer og livserfaringer. Konsekvent gjennom hele min karriere har vært mitt fokus på den spesielle plassen språk og tekstforståelse har i våre liv - for informasjon, glede, innsikt og kontakt. I senere tid har forskningen min også handlet om å bedre forstå interesseutvikling, mot og eventyr ("adventure") med et spesielt øye på hvordan de kan gi nye perspektiver på læring.
