The meeting started working on a guidelines outline for securing small scale fisheries. This covers topics like guiding implementation principles, responsible fisheries and sustainable development, governance of tenure and resource management, social development and employment (decent work); value chains, post harvest and trade; gender equality and disaster risks and climate change.
In addition to this comes information and research; capacity development and implementation support, monitoring and evaluation. Above all this objectives and policy coherence was discussed.
The idea is now that the group will meet later this year to finalise the drafted document.
