EU har gjennom LLP/Erasmus over to år støttet prosjektet: JOIMAN - Joint Degree Management and Administration Network: Tackling current issues and facing future challenges.

Prosjektet hadde avslutningskonferanse i Vilnius 29.10.2010 og de 5 arbeidsgruppene (se nedenfor) har i prosjektperioden hentet inn informasjon fra, intervjuet og besøkt en rekke europeiske institusjoner for å finne ut praksis og tilnærminger for administrasjon av fellesgrader.
Fellesgrader både på Bachelor-, Master- og ph.d.-nivået diskuteres.

Joiman-prosjektets formål og arbeidsgrupper:
The project will lead to the creation of common guidelines and good practice examples on the administrative issues related to Joint Degrees’ management. Future strategies will be created for exporting the issues examined to the development of joint programmes at doctoral level and with non EU partners (Asia, US, Latin America etc). The topics that will be addressed by the project are:
- Application, Enrolment, Selection and Certification of students career
- Financial sustainability of Joint Programmes
- Governance/Organisation/Quality in Joint Programmes
- Development and administration of Joint PHD Programmes
- Development and administration of Joint Programmes with “non UE” and “non Bologna Process” institutions
