Background and Objectives |
In
most European countries there is an increasing gap between declining
numbers of science and technology students and the demand for human
resources in these fields.
The conference is the continuance and growth of a national conference
series on the same topic. The national conference is now evolved
to a European concept.
The overall aim of the conference is to increase recruitment
to science, mathematics and technology at all levels in the European educational
system by changing the attitude to science and technology in society
in general and among young people in particular.
|

|
The objectives of the conference are: |
- Exchange of best practises of how to communicate
science and technology.
- Establish a network that can continue a series of
similar conferences bi-annual alternating with EuroScience Open
Forum.
- Foster discussions and exchange of Innovative
ideas in communication of science and technology.
- Be a place for dialogue between educators, industry,
media representatives and policy makers
|
Who will attend the conference? |
To
reach these objectives we will host a European conference with broad
international participation focusing on new and innovative methods
of communicating science and technology to different sectors of
the community. We hope change people's perception of the topic.
Our goal is to attract 600 participants, with equal representation
of the five main target groups. At least 60% of the participants
