LaTeX for Linguists

Obtaining and installing LaTeX

Mac OS X
If you have a Mac laptop, this is very easy. Just download MacTeX.mpkg.zip from http://www.tug.org/mactex/. Open the folder and double-click on the icon and a full distribution will be installed.

PC/Windows
If you have a PC, you need two things.

MikTeX (current version 2.7), which you can download from http://miktex.org/

WinEdt (a text editor) from http://www.winedt.com/

Unix
Consult Pavel.
