Women's Worlds take place every 3rd year. Femist researchers, specialists, activists and internationally known public figures use this opportunity to reflect on important contemporary issuses that affect women in specific ways.
Although feminist research and interdisciplinary scholarship remain their basis, they are also intended to be meeting places for grassroots activists and affirmative action officers, for young and old, for students as well as for established academics.
In short, the ambition has been to bring women and men of all persuasions and backgrounds, and from every corner of the world together for lectures, papers and workshops, panel debates and informal discussions, and last but not least, a wide range of cultural and social events.
In 2011 the Women's Worlds will be held in Ottawa, Canada. Kvinnforsk have give five students from UiT travel grant to participate: Womens's Worlds 2011 Connect. Converse. Inclusions, Exclusions, Seclusions: Living in a globalised world.
